Out of the Fog

A quick note about the Readability.info tool currently used for your posts. Take time to read through all of the results, not just the Fog score (although you’ll include the Index score at the bottom of you posts, as in here).

Take a minute to read the “sentence info” section, particularly the percentage of passive sentences. I can almost guarantee that the lower the percentage of passive sentences, the more readable the post.

So take note and have a good weekend.

Fog Index=9.5, School Year=6, Passive Sentences=0

New blog, Fog index link

This week’s blog reading, Dot Earth, can be found below. Be sure to read posts from Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Also, remember that for the time being, please place your posts through the Readability.info site and type the Fog Index at the bottom of your post.

A reminder

I’ve noticed that some of you have changed the headlines of your first blog, but not the blog text. It’s not enough to just change the headline, actually write something.

Of course, I’m sure you were planning to do that anyway, but it’s just a reminder.

You’ll also notice that I’ve added another RSS feed that links directly to this week’s blog.
